You ever think you’ve got it all figured out until the first session of a high-ticket program smacks you in the face?
That was me on Day One of Thought Leader’s program.
I was a mess. I had notes flying everywhere. Papers on the floor. Nothing made sense. I was panicking, thinking, “This lady’s gonna think I’m just a lunatic.”
But here’s the thing, rock bottom makes a great foundation 🙂
And that chaos? That’s exactly what Thought Leader helped me organize into clarity, into a message, into something that finally clicked.
A few weeks later, I gave a talk in Southern San Diego. I used every technique they drilled into us—pause more, make it about the audience, stop saying “I” so much.
It was the first time in over 30 years of speaking that I had 300 people jump to their feet with a standing ovation.
Not hyperbole. Not a polite clap. A real, visceral, standing ovation.
That talk wasn’t just a win. It was a turning point.
I took the pitch Thought Leader helped me create and used it for a national pitch competition.
Guess what? I made it to the semifinals.
More importantly, that same pitch started attracting new podcast invites, interview requests, and serious interest in my concept: “The Book You’re Dying Not to Write.”
It wasn’t about one TEDx talk. It was about building a launchpad I could use everywhere.
Look, this isn’t a fluff review. There were moments I didn’t want to hear the feedback. But I’m grateful for the coach who told me the truth—even when it hit like a two-by-four to the face.
That kind of brutal honesty is rare and necessary. It cracked me open and made me better.
Now? I’ve got a signature pitch, a clear message, and the confidence to walk into rooms I used to hesitate in.
Was the program intense? Absolutely.
Was it worth thousands? Without question.
