Using Your Social Media Platform To Launch Your Own Brand – A Success Story

Giovanna Silvestre, also known as the “Confused Girl”, has established herself amongst the top social media influencers. The travelling and spiritual entrepreneur is now looking forward to share her experiences in a different way.

Currently writing her first book, the talented influencer has a special story to tell. She graduated with honours after studying International Relations. Shortly after, Silvestre was drawn to the entertainment industry, which would create opportunities of working on productions of greats such as Peter Jackson & Kenneth Branagh. Growing up as the daughter of an Italian immigrant who successfully built his own business in hospitality in the USA, the entrepreneurial spirit and motivation was always apparent to Giovanna Silvestre. 

But it wasn’t before a major ‘internal awakening’ around 6 years ago, that she turned inspiration and ideas into actions. Deeply affected by the lessons learned from a spiritual healer at the time, she decided to take photos of healing crystals and turn them into her Yoga wear brand’s design. The name, ’Confused Girl In The City’ sees the ex blogger make the big step to produce her own clothing line in Los Angeles. A decision, that has turned into a major success. The popular stretch-material pants have been featured in international magazines such as Forbes, Yoga Digest & Silicon Beach Magazine. An achievement the young successor is particularly proud of is her brands appearance on the cover of Yoga LA, a dream come true for the young entrepreneur. 

Seeing her vision come this far motivates her to go further, and there’s evidence that she’s not reaching for the stars when she’s aspiring to globally establish her brand on an even more mainstream level in the future.

“ Two favorite entrepreneurial moments were when my intern was in Munich Germany and texted me that she saw a girl biking by in our leggings. Also, when I was having a moment of doubt and I saw a girl walking by in our leggings in Venice beach as I was driving past her. These are a few of my favorite moments. I love seeing our customers feeling confident and happy in our apparel.” 

Besides her entrepreneurial career, Silvestre is celebrating equal successes as a social media influencer. The Instagram star has teamed up with global major brands from T-Mobile, Vitamin Water, Coca-Cola, Target, Walmart, Crocs, Lindt Chocolate, to Audi, Vaseline and many more. Being amongst the very first female influencers to represent the German automobile brand Audi was particularly special for the social media star. The industry is known to feature predominantly male representatives. 

Now the time has come for Giovanna to share her path. Behind the victories, there were struggles, doubts and dis-orientation. In her upcoming book ‘Seven Things Every Confused Girl Should Do , she shares her experiences and wants “help women of every age to navigate a positive life course through a rapidly changing world of new opportunities that, while seemingly daunting in some respects, nevertheless offers women greater potential than ever before for achieving self-fulfillment through the discovery and pursuit of their true nature and passions.”
